This Archives building is designed as a center of culture and tradition within the context of South Bend, a city with a rich history and complex present state. The Archives would celebrate and preserve the city’s history while serving as a lens through which to view its present and future. It’s neoclassical design is in dialogue with other historic buildings within the city and features experiential, light-filled rooms to house the archives collection and a variety of other functional spaces.
